 Yuri Turcan was born in 1956 in Odessa. He graduated from the Kostandi art school. In 1971 he entered the Odessa Art College. M. B. Grekova. After graduation, he began teaching at his native art school. At the same time he was engaged in painting, icon painting, restoration. In 1988 he emigrated from the USSR. He spent a year in Vienna, then a donkey in Berlin, where he still lives.
